Taco Bell: Where’s the Beef?

Wow! I couldn’t believe it this morning when I woke up to the news that Taco Bell uses less than 35% beef in their “seasoned ground beef.”  Wait– let me rephrase that.  I could believe it this morning when I woke up to the news that Taco Bell uses less than 35% beef in their “seasoned ground beef,” but I couldn’t believe the timing of the news.  My laughter filled the room as I recounted my I Love Tacos post from 2 days ago.  Some will be disappointed to hear that instead of beef, the ingredients are mostly fillers and it does not even “meet the minimum requirements set by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to be labeled as ‘beef.'”  This all comes to light as there is a lawsuit claiming false advertising by Taco Bell.  Here is a link to the news story.

I am just happy and lucky that many years ago I learned that I don’t love these tacos!
